Jack Osbourne reflected on the memory of his father, Ozzy Osbourne, during the premiere of the new series of Cooking with the Stars, which aired on ITV tonight. This poignant moment came shortly after the announcement of Ozzy Osbourne’s passing at the age of 76, following his farewell concert with Black Sabbath just weeks prior.

In the episode, filmed earlier, Jack shared insights about his upbringing and family dynamics while preparing risotto alongside host Emma Willis. He recounted, “There was a lot of Birdseye Potato Waffles,” eliciting surprise from Willis. He continued, “Because I was here until I was 12 and then we went to America [and] it was all take out.”

Jack further described the challenges of having a personal chef in their household, noting, “We’d go through bouts of having a chef but everyone’s such … very picky eaters so chefs don’t usually last long in our house. Because all of a sudden my dad’s like ‘no, I don’t like it anymore’ even though it’s like some amazing chef.”

Just prior to the show’s launch, Jack, along with his family, issued a heartfelt statement regarding the loss of Ozzy, expressing their profound sorrow. The statement read, “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time. Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Aimee and Louis.”

Tonight’s episode also featured other celebrity contestants, with Jack going up against Jess Wright, as well as former EastEnders actress Natalie Cassidy competing alongside radio presenter Jordan North.
