Katie Price, the reality television personality, has confirmed that she is in the process of relocating to a new residence. This announcement follows her earlier revelation about her landlord’s intentions to sell the Sussex property she has been renting since departing from her previous home known as the Mucky Mansion.
At 47 years old, Price had previously expressed concerns over her housing situation, particularly regarding difficulties in securing a guarantor for her next rental. However, she has now confirmed that she has found a new place to live. On the latest episode of her podcast, she shared details about her upcoming move, leading to speculation about the property.
In the episode of The Katie Price Show released today, she disclosed that her partner, JJ Slater, 33, has been assisting her in measuring for new furniture. Discussing her recent preparation activities with her sister Sophie, co-host of the podcast, Price stated, “Measured the stuff at the new house for all the new furniture.” She described the new property as “gorgeous,” and when asked if she was only replacing the sofa, she immediately clarified, “Everything new.”
Looking ahead, Price expressed her enthusiasm for the upcoming winter months, anticipating the joy of decorating her new home for Christmas. Reports indicate that she is moving into a three-bedroom barn conversion, with a monthly rental fee of £4,500. It is noted that she managed to secure a guarantor just in time and provided a deposit of £5,192 for her long-term rental.
The property reportedly features striking aspects such as floor-to-ceiling windows, vaulted ceilings, and a wood-burning stove situated within a brick fireplace, all set against a rural backdrop. This comes after Price had previously voiced concerns about her housing stability on her podcast, mentioning the need to find a new home after her landlord’s decision to sell.
In previous discussions on her podcast, Price reflected on the challenges she faced during her search for accommodation, mentioning how her current landlord had allowed her to stay without a guarantor. “I’ve been on time with all the payments, as you should, and bills and everything, but now he wants to sell it,” she explained. Price elaborated on the difficulties imposed by many landlords requiring extensive financial guarantees, pointing out her previous bankruptcy issues, which she insisted stemmed from personal crises rather than financial irresponsibility.
Accompanying her sister, Sophie, Price received reassurance that the current rental market is particularly competitive, stating, “Nowadays with renting, they are asking for more, aren’t they?”
