Selena Gomez showcased her trademark elegance during the launch of her Rare Beauty perfume line in Santa Monica, an event attended by various influencers and celebrities. The 33-year-old Disney Channel alum has been celebrating the release with a series of parties over the past week. The event took place at the Santa Monica Post Office, where Gomez caught the eye in a lustrous white midi dress featuring a halter neck, complemented by white strappy heels and pearl earrings, her hair neatly pulled back into a chic bun. Notably, she was accompanied by singer Becky G and stars from Love Island USA at the launch.
Gomez took to Instagram to express her excitement about the fragrance, posting: “Everyone smelled so good last night. Lol, but thank you for your love on this one. Nearly 5 years of and it somehow feels like we’re just getting started. I’m so excited for what’s in store!”
In addition to the perfume launch, Gomez has been juggling a busy schedule that includes wedding preparations with her fiancé, Benny Blanco, and work on the upcoming season of “Only Murders in the Building.” Recently, she shared her non-traditional wedding menu preferences via her Rare Beauty brand’s TikTok account. The Texas native surprised many by revealing, “My preferred dessert would be biscuits and gravy. My Nana’s biscuits and gravy. That sounds like dessert to me.”
Gomez also expressed her desire for a smaller wedding cake, stating, “I think I’d want a mini one, for just us, that we can freeze.” She and Benny, who got engaged in December 2023, confirmed their relationship at that time, with the musician proposing with a dazzling diamond ring valued at approximately $1 million.
In a recent appearance on Australia’s Today show, Benny Blanco, 37, discussed both his music career and their upcoming nuptials. During a conversation with Richard Wilkins, he indicated that life “couldn’t be better” following their engagement and the release of their joint album, “I Said I Love You First,” which debuted in March. He humorously noted, “Most people when they get engaged they plan a wedding, but you and Selena make an album.”
Elaborating on their creative process, the producer, whose full name is Benjamin Joseph Levin, revealed that their musical collaboration began spontaneously at home. “We just started making music as a fun activity, and then all of a sudden we had one song, then two songs, then three songs, then four songs,” he explained.
