GWM UK has officially announced the launch of its new double-cab pickup, the GWM POER300, which will be available at UK dealerships from mid-September 2025. Priced at £31,495, this model boasts a blend of robust functionality, high comfort, and cutting-edge technology.
Powering the POER300 is a 2.4-liter turbo diesel engine, generating 183 horsepower and 480 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel-drive system with low-range gearing, ensuring reliable performance both on roads and off-road. The vehicle’s average combined fuel consumption stands at 32.7 mpg.
Designed for heavy-duty tasks, the pickup can tow up to 3,500 kg and has a payload capacity of 1,000 kg, making it well-suited for farmers, construction workers, and commercial users across the UK.
The POER300 features a distinctive design with a bold front, roof rails, integrated side steps, and a prominent “GWM” logo at the rear. Inside, the cabin utilises high-quality materials and features a streamlined central control panel and a 12.3-inch infotainment system that supports wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Additionally, it includes a 7-inch digital display for the driver and a wireless charging pad for smartphones. The pickup is equipped with several off-road driving modes (Normal, Eco, Sport, Snow, Mud, Sand), an electronic rear differential lock, and boasts a ground clearance of 230 mm, with approach and departure angles of 27° and 25°, respectively.
GWM UK plans to offer the POER300 in three trim levels, pending final confirmation:
– **Lux**: Features 18-inch alloy wheels, synthetic leather seats, keyless entry, and rear parking sensors.
– **Ultra**: Includes ventilated and heated seats, ambient lighting, a sunroof, tinted glass, and a 360-degree camera system.
– **Vanta**: Comes with dark exterior styling, black rims, and wheel arches.
All variants will be sold with a five-year or 125,000-mile warranty and will be available at all UK dealerships.
